My Relationship with Joy, the Eldest Daughter

My name is Gareth, and I’m a 35-year-old man who’s still learning to navigate the complexities of adulthood. At 6’1″ and 185lbs, I’ve managed to maintain a decent level of fitness through regular workouts and soccer games. However, my social life is another story altogether. I’ve always been a bit of a shy and introverted person, which has made it difficult for me to connect with women on a deeper level.

Luckily, I’ve got a best friend named Carl, who’s always been there for me. We work together at the same company and have known each other for years. He’s got a wonderful family, including his wife Esther and their six kids. The eldest daughter, Joy, is a beautiful 19-year-old who’s always been like a little sister to me. I’ve often found myself spoiling her rotten, mainly because I’ve always had a soft spot for her.

As it happens, Joy and I were invited to a family BBQ recently, and I was excited to spend some quality time with her and the rest of the gang. However, things took a turn for the worse when Joy’s boyfriend, Luke, showed up. He was a rather unsavory character who seemed to be more interested in causing trouble than in treating Joy with respect.

“Oh, er… she’ll be here soon, she’s fetching a friend,” Esther said nervously when I asked where Joy was.

“Oh, really, a friend, huh?” I replied with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

“Yeah, it’s like that, just be careful talking about it around Carl, he’s not too thrilled,” Esther said with a hint of warning.

“What’s the story with him?” I asked, sensing that there was more to it than met the eye.

“Well, he’s nice enough, but he’s not exactly driven. He doesn’t have a job, smokes, and drinks a lot,” Esther said with a sigh.

“Oh, man, that sounds like a real catch,” I said with a sarcastic tone, trying to make light of the situation.

Just then, Joy walked around the side of the house with Luke, and I was shocked by how rough he looked. It was clear that he was hungover, and his scruffy appearance only added to my initial impressions.

“Oh boy, this is going to be fun,” I thought to myself as all eyes turned to Carl and Esther.

Carl took one look at Luke and shook his head, before storming off into the house, slamming the back door behind him. I felt a pang of sympathy for Esther, who was trying to be polite to Luke for Joy’s sake, but it was clear that she was just as disappointed as Carl.

Joy looked devastated, and I could tell that she was worried about what her dad was thinking. I decided to introduce myself to Luke, mainly to try and break the tension.

“Hi, I’m Gareth,” I said, offering him my hand.

“Yeah, Luke,” he replied, sounding completely disinterested.

“Hi, Joy, how are you?” I asked, trying to change the subject and lighten the mood.

“Hey, Gareth, I’m okay, thanks. How are you?” she replied, but she looked dejected.

“Babe, I’m going to get a drink,” Luke said, and walked away without offering to get Joy one.

“He’s going to be disappointed,” I thought to myself, knowing that Carl and Esther didn’t drink.

“He seems nice,” I said, lying through my teeth to avoid hurting Joy’s feelings.

“Thanks, Gareth, he is, once you get to know him. Dad just won’t even talk to him,” Joy said, and I could see the desperation in her eyes.

“Hey, babe, there’s no booze,” Luke said.

“Yeah, mum and dad don’t drink, and they won’t buy any,” Joy replied, looking a bit embarrassed.

“Some party, Jesus!” he said, sounding condescending.

“Come on, show a bit of respect, will you?” I said, trying to keep the peace.

“Oh, great, bible bashers,” he laughed.

“Listen, if you’re going to behave like that, it might be best if you go,” I said, trying to give him an ultimatum.

“Oh, my God, you can’t say a damn thing around this family,” he said, getting angry.

“Luke, I think it’s time for you to leave,” I said firmly, trying to defuse the situation.

“Fine, tell her to call me,” he said, and stormed off.

I was relieved to see him go, but I knew that Joy was still hurting. She came over to me, looking worried.

“Everything okay, Gareth? Where’s Luke?” she asked.

“Erm, Luke left, Joy. Erm, he said to call him,” I said, trying to soften the blow.

“What happened?” she asked, looking at me with tears in her eyes.

“We had a bit of a disagreement,” I said, trying to downplay the situation.

“What about?” she asked, looking cross.

“I thought some of the things he was saying about your family were a bit disrespectful,” I said.

“Oh, no, not you too?” she sighed.

“I’m sorry, Joy, I didn’t mean to upset him,” I said.

“Please, you sound like my dad and where do you get off telling my boyfriend off, huh? Who do you think you are, huh?” she said, raising her voice.

“I’m sorry, Joy, I didn’t mean to upset him,” I apologized.

“Oh, give me a break, you’re just like them,” she hissed at me.

“Please, Joy, don’t be like that,” I pleaded with her.

“What? You piss my boyfriend off, making him feel unwelcome, make him leave and I’m supposed to be okay with it, come on,” she said, her anger boiling over.

I reached out to touch her arm, but she jerked it back and slapped me across the face.

“DON’T TOUCH ME!!” she yelled at me, and stormed off.

Esther came running over to check on me, and I just stood there, stunned. This was not the Joy I knew and loved.

After the party broke up, everyone went home, and I was left to try and process what had just happened. The evening was a blur, but I was still reeling from the shock of Joy’s behavior.

That night, I was sat at home, trying to watch TV, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. There was a knock at the door, and I assumed it would be Carl or Esther checking up on me.

But when I opened the door, I was surprised to see Joy standing there, her back turned to me.

“Joy?” I said softly.

She turned slowly, her head down, and I couldn’t see her face because of her long hair.

“Hey,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Is everything okay?” I asked, starting to get worried.

“No,” she said, and burst into tears.

I reached out and pulled her into a hug, holding her tight as she cried.

After a minute or so, she started to calm down, and I suggested that we go inside and talk about it.

“Do you want anything to drink?” I asked her.

“No, it’s okay, thanks,” she said, looking down.

I asked her what was wrong, and she stammered out a few words before bursting into tears again.

“Joy, tell me what happened from the beginning,” I said, trying to keep her calm.

“After the party earlier, I went to talk to mum and dad again about me seeing Luke, and we had a big row. A lot of horrible things were said, and then dad threw me out, telling me it was either them or him. I just couldn’t give up Luke like that, and then he threw me out, saying they were done with me,” she said, sobbing again.

“Oh, god, Joy, I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but what happened to your face?” I asked.

“Well, when I left home, I went straight to Luke’s, but when I got there, he was really mad about this afternoon. We started to argue too, and he got really mad at me, and then he…,” she trailed off, not wanting to say it.

“Joy, I’m only going to ask this once, did Luke do this?” I asked, my anger simmering just below the surface.

She nodded, and I felt a surge of fury.

“That no-good bastard,” I muttered, trying to stay calm for Joy’s sake.

“Joy, where does he live?” I demanded.

“No, Gareth, please don’t do this,” she protested.

“Joy, you don’t seriously expect me to do nothing, do you?” I asked, my anger boiling over.

“Please, I don’t have anywhere else to go, if anything happened to you, I don’t know what I’d do,” she said, sobbing.

“Ok, ok, but if I ever see him again…,” I said, giving in.

“Joy, you can stay here, that’s no problem. But I think I should let your mum know at least where you are, so she knows you’re safe, ok?” I said.

“Ok,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I stood up and went to the kitchen to phone Esther, telling her that Joy was safe and sound with me.

I went back into the living room and suggested that we get Joy sorted out.

“Come on, let me show you your room and get you sorted,” I said, holding out my hand to help her up.

She didn’t let go of my hand until we were in the room.

“Here you go, the bathroom is just over the hall, and I’ll get you some fresh towels,” I said, trying to lighten the mood.

She asked me if she could borrow an old t-shirt to sleep in, and I went to get one from my room.

I took a soccer shirt to her, and she looked adorable in it, even though it was a bit big on her.

“Gareth, hello!!” she said, laughing.

“Sorry, Joy, jeez, that shirt has never looked so good,” I said, chuckling.

As I looked at her, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of attraction. She looked beautiful in the shirt, and her long legs seemed to go on forever.

Gareth settled back into the sofa, trying to process the strange feeling that had settled in his chest. Joy plopped down beside him, her long legs unfolding in a way that made Gareth feel a pang of desire. He shook his head, trying to clear the thought from his mind.

“Oh, stop it,” Joy said softly, her voice a gentle tease. Gareth felt a flutter in his chest as he met her gaze, but Joy’s eyes were already dropping back down to the TV.

For a while, they just sat there, watching the show in comfortable silence. But after about 20 minutes, Joy spoke up, her voice barely above a whisper. “Gareth.”

“Yeah, what’s up?” Gareth replied, turning to face her. Joy’s eyes were downcast, her brow furrowed in concentration.

“About this afternoon,” she started, her voice hesitant.

“Ahh, forget it, it was my fault. I shouldn’t have spoken to him like that,” Gareth interrupted, feeling a twinge of guilt. “I’m the one who should be apologizing.”

“No, no, it’s not your fault at all,” Joy said, her voice firm. She placed a hand on Gareth’s forearm, and he felt a jolt of electricity run through his body.

“It’s been coming for a while,” Joy said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Has Luke ever done anything like this before?” Gareth asked, his voice tight with concern.

“He’s grabbed me a couple of times, but never hit me,” Joy replied, her voice shaking.

Gareth felt a surge of anger at the thought of Joy being hurt by Luke. “What in God’s name did you see in him?” he asked, his voice harsh.

“I know, I know. He can be so nice too,” Joy said, her voice soft.

“Joy, you know how I feel about him, so I’m not going to sit here preaching to you,” Gareth said, his voice gentle. “You’re old enough to make your own choices, but I want you to know that I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”

“Thanks, Gareth. You’re so sweet to me,” Joy said, her voice filled with gratitude. She leaned in and gave Gareth a hug, and as she pulled back, Gareth caught a glimpse of her exposed thigh. He felt a flutter in his chest, but quickly pushed the thought aside.

As the night wore on, Gareth found himself growing tired. “I’m going to bed,” he said, trying to sound casual.

“Okay, I’ll head off to bed too,” Joy replied, her voice soft.

About 45 minutes later, there was a knock at Gareth’s door, and he woke up with a start. “Gareth,” Joy said quietly, poking her head around the door.

“Yeah, everything okay?” Gareth asked, his voice groggy.

“I just can’t sleep,” Joy replied, her voice trembling. “I feel scared.”

Gareth threw off his covers and got out of bed. “Come in,” he said, trying to sound reassuring. “You’re perfectly safe here. No one can harm you.”

Gareth led Joy to the living room and sat down beside her. “It’s okay,” he said softly. “Don’t worry. Would you like to talk?”

“Well, I was wondering,” Joy said hesitantly, “if you don’t mind, could I possibly sleep in here with you?”

“Of course,” Gareth said, trying to sound casual. “Why don’t you sleep in here, and I’ll sleep on the floor?”

“No, Gareth, you can’t sleep on the floor,” Joy said, her voice soft. “There’s plenty of room in the bed.”

Gareth felt a pang of panic as he realized what Joy was suggesting. “But Joy, I haven’t shared a bed before,” he said, trying to sound rational. “I don’t want to do anything…inappropriate.”

“Don’t be silly,” Joy said, her voice teasing. She got up and headed towards the bed, Gareth’s heart racing in his chest.

“Joy, I’m not wearing anything except my boxers,” Gareth said, trying to sound casual.

“I’ve only got this shirt on, nothing else,” Joy replied, her voice completely unfazed. She shimmied down into the bed, her movements fluid and confident.

Gareth sat there, frozen in confusion. He had no idea what to do. Here he was, in bed with a beautiful 19-year-old woman, and he felt completely out of his depth.

“Well, are you going to lay down?” Joy asked, her voice soft.

“Sorry,” Gareth said, trying to sound casual. He reached over and turned off the light, then got into bed beside Joy. He turned onto his side, facing away from her, and tried to go to sleep.

But he didn’t. He lay there, his body tense with awareness, as he listened to Joy’s gentle breathing beside him.

Later that night, Joy screamed, and Gareth was jolted awake. “Joy, what’s happened?” he asked, his voice tight with concern.

“Oh god,” Joy said, her voice shaking.

“Joy, are you okay?” Gareth asked, his voice gentle.

“Sorry, I just had a nightmare,” Joy replied, her voice soft.

“It’s okay, Joy,” Gareth said softly. “Come here.” He held her close, feeling a sense of comfort and security that he had never felt before.

“Gareth, will you hold me as I go to sleep, please?” Joy asked, her voice soft.

“Of course, I will,” Gareth replied, his voice gentle. He wrapped his arms around her, feeling a sense of trepidation as he realized what he was doing.

As he lay there, holding Joy close, Gareth felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be.

When he woke up, he was still holding Joy, her body pressed up against his. He felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“Good morning,” Gareth said softly, his voice husky.

“Mmmm, good morning,” Joy replied, her voice sleepy. “Have you been watching me sleep?” she asked, her voice teasing.

“Well, I have,” Gareth said, his voice laughing. “But I’m kind of stuck here.”

“It’s a lovely way to wake up,” Joy said, her voice soft. She leaned in and gave Gareth a gentle kiss on the hand.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

As they sat down to breakfast, Gareth felt a sense of trepidation. He knew that their relationship had changed, that they were now on a new path together.

“Hello, would you like a cup of coffee?” Gareth asked, trying to sound casual.

“Yes, please,” Joy replied, her voice soft. She walked up behind him and gave him a gentle hug.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“Thanks, Gareth,” Joy said, her voice soft. “You’re so sweet to me.”

Gareth felt a sense of trepidation as Joy asked him a question that he had been dreading. “Gareth, do you think I’m attractive?” she asked, her voice soft.

“What? Are you serious?” Gareth asked, trying to sound casual.

“Yes,” Joy replied, her voice firm.

“Joy, I think you’re an incredibly beautiful young woman who could have any man she wanted,” Gareth said, his voice sincere.

“Thank you,” Joy said, her voice soft. “I mean it, Joy. That’s why I was confused why you were with Luke.”

“Gareth, can I ask you something else?” Joy asked, her voice soft.

“Of course,” Gareth replied, his voice gentle.

“If you think I’m so beautiful, why haven’t you ever tried anything with me?” Joy asked, her voice hesitant.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“Joy, there are a lot of reasons,” Gareth said, trying to sound casual.

“Like what?” Joy asked, her voice soft.

“Joy, you’re so young,” Gareth said, trying to sound rational. “Why would you be interested in an old fogey like me? You should be with someone your own age, someone you can have fun with and enjoy being young.”

“What the hell does your age have to do with it?” Joy asked, her voice sharp.

“It’s not just that, Joy,” Gareth said, trying to find another reason. “There’s your mum and dad, they’re my best friends. I really don’t think they’d want me to be involved with you.”

“No, no, that’s not it,” Joy said, her voice soft. “There’s something else.”

“Joy, please,” Gareth said, trying to find a way to let her down easy.

“No, I want to know,” Joy said, her voice firm.

“Why, why is it so important?” Gareth asked, his voice hesitant.

“Because I need to know why,” Joy replied, her voice soft.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be honest with Joy, that she deserved his truth.

“Joy, it’s quite simple really,” Gareth said, his voice sincere. “I’m very shy around women when it comes to being more than friends. It’s not that I haven’t wanted more, Joy. I really want more. It’s just that I’ve never had any experience with women, and I don’t know how to make you happy.”

“Gareth, I want to know the truth,” Joy said, her voice soft. “Say it, Gareth.”

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be honest with Joy, that she deserved his truth.

“I…I love…I love you, Joy,” Gareth stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Thank you,” Joy said, her voice soft. She leaned in and gave Gareth a gentle kiss on the lips.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“I think I’ve always known,” Joy said, her voice soft. “You treated me like I was the most valuable thing on earth, you never said no to me, and you’ve always been there for me.”

Gareth felt a sense of trepidation as Joy took his hand and pulled him into the living room.

“Now I’ll hear none of this age business again or what my parents think,” Joy said, her voice firm. “You said yourself that I should be with someone who makes me happy, and you make me happy. So I choose you.”

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“But Joy,” Gareth started, but Joy cut him off.

“No, I won’t hear any of it,” Joy said, her voice firm. “Nothing you can say will change my mind.”

Gareth felt a sense of trepidation as he realized that Joy was serious. He knew that he had to be honest with her, that she deserved his truth.

“Okay, but I need to ask you something,” Gareth said, his voice gentle.

“Anything,” Joy replied, her voice soft.

“Please be patient with me,” Gareth said, his voice sincere. “I know I’m not experienced at relationships, and I’m bound to mess it up at some point. But I promise I will give everything I have to make you happy.”

“I know you will, and that’s all I ask,” Joy said, her voice soft. She leaned in and gave Gareth a gentle kiss on the lips.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“Joy, you do know there will be people who won’t like this?” Gareth asked, his voice hesitant.

“To hell with them,” Joy said, her voice firm. “We’re both adults, and we’re doing nothing wrong. So I don’t care.”

Gareth felt a sense of trepidation as Joy leaned in and gave him another gentle kiss on the lips.

“That’s better,” Joy said, her voice soft. “You look really nice when you smile.”

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“Thank you,” Gareth said, his voice sincere. “You know what would really make me smile right now?”

“What?” Joy asked, her voice soft.

“If I could get another one of those magical kisses,” Gareth said, his voice laughing.

“Oh really, that would make you smile would it?” Joy asked, her voice teasing.

“Yeah, that would do it,” Gareth said, his voice sincere. He looked into Joy’s eyes, feeling a sense of trepidation.

“I’m all yours, Gareth,” Joy said, her voice soft. She leaned in and gave Gareth another gentle kiss on the lips.

Gareth felt a surge of desire, but quickly pushed the thought aside. He knew that he had to be patient, that Joy was still recovering from her ordeal.

“I think I’m falling in love with you, Joy,” Gareth said, his voice sincere.

“I’m already there, Gareth,” Joy said, her voice soft. She leaned in and gave Gareth another gentle kiss on the lips.

Gareth felt a sense of trepidation as he realized that he was exactly where he was meant to be.

She leaned in and softly placed her lips onto mine, sending shivers down my spine. I was in heaven right now.

As we kissed, Joy’s arms wrapped around my neck, pulling me closer. She lay down on the sofa, and I was gently pulled down on top of her. I tried to mirror her movements, not wanting to do anything wrong. But Joy moaned softly, and I realized I must have been doing something right.

We stayed like that for about 10 minutes, lost in the moment. Finally, we stopped, and I looked down at Joy with a smile.

“I can’t believe this,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

“Well, it’s true, sweetheart,” Joy replied, her arms still wrapped around my neck. “And I’m not going anywhere.”

“What would you like to do today?” I asked, my heart racing with excitement.

“I have a couple of ideas,” Joy said, a mischievous glint in her eye.

“Mmmm, I’m intrigued,” I said, my voice filled with anticipation.

“Calm down, cheeky,” I said with a laugh. “Option 1, we stay here all day, just the two of us. Or option 2… ah, to hell with option 2.”

“Yeah, option 1 for me,” Joy said, a sly smile spreading across her face. “Maybe we could spend the day up there,” she said, gesturing towards the stairs.

“Oh, no, young lady,” I said firmly. “We’ll have none of that until I’ve taken you out on a proper date first.”

“Oh, spoil sport,” Joy said, laughing. “But I do like the sound of that date. However, I don’t have any of my things, and I don’t think Mum and Dad will just let me walk in and grab whatever I need.”

“Listen, you know your Mum isn’t as bad as your Dad,” I said. “I’ll have a word, and see if she’ll let me know when they’re out. We can nip round and grab whatever you need.”

“Do you think she’ll let me?” Joy asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

“I think so,” I said. “I’ll give her a call while you get dressed, okay?”

“Well, I’m not in any hurry to get dressed,” Joy said, grinning at me and pulling me closer.

“Oh, really?” I asked, my heart racing with excitement. “What were you planning on doing instead?”

“Something like this,” Joy said, and she put her hand on the back of my neck, pulling me into a very passionate kiss.

I was worried about her lip, but Joy seemed completely oblivious to it.

We stayed on the sofa, kissing and cuddling for several hours, until we became hungry. Reluctantly, I sent Joy off to get dressed, while I called her Mum and fixed us some lunch.

The call went surprisingly well, although I didn’t mention me and Joy. I told her Joy wanted to stay with me for a while and needed to get some things from home, but didn’t want to see them.

When I said this, I thought she would have kicked off, but she was happy for Joy to go when they weren’t there, and agreed to call me to let me know when.

I told Joy about the call when she came back down, and she was relieved, to say the least. I had a feeling it would be on Sunday morning, when the family would be at church.

So the rest of the day, we spent on the sofa, continuing our kissing and cuddling. I have to admit, I was in heaven.

Our hands never went anywhere other than neck and arms. I think to Joy’s disappointment, but I was not going to go too far, as I can only speak for myself when I say I don’t think I would be able to hold back if we got too carried away.

When we went to bed, Joy decided that we would share my bed again, and that would be a permanent change, to say the least. I didn’t argue, let’s just say.

However, when we started to get undressed, Joy stopped me and said, “Let me, please.”

And with that, she gave me that smile, which I’m sure she knew I couldn’t resist.

“Ok,” I said nervously, hoping seeing me without clothes wouldn’t be a disappointment.

She started by unbuttoning my shirt slowly, then pushed my shirt down my shoulders and onto the floor. She unbuttoned my belt and jeans, and pushed them down my legs, and I stepped out of them.

She stood and placed her hands on my bare chest, making me shudder with goosebumps. She stood on tiptoes and kissed me passionately, moaning as she kissed me.

Needless to say, this had an effect on me, if you know what I mean.

“Joy, may I undress you?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

“Mmm, yes, please,” she said, grinning at me.

I reached out to unbutton her blouse, and my hand was shaking a little, but Joy never said or did anything; she just patiently let me unbutton all the buttons and slowly push her blouse off her shoulders and onto the floor.

“My god,” I gasped.

Joy had on a black lace bra. “Do you like what you see?” she asked, her voice husky with desire.

I just nodded, like an idiot. I was mesmerized. Joy didn’t have big tits; she only had small ones, but I prefer them small, and they looked perfect on her.

I then reached down and unbuttoned her jeans and slowly slid them down her legs, revealing matching black lace panties. I was kneeling before her, just looking at this goddess in front of me.

I must have looked like a deer in the headlights, as Joy put a finger under my chin and bent down over me, saying softly, “Come on, let’s go to bed.”

The state I was in, Joy could have walked me over broken glass, and I wouldn’t have noticed.

We stood by the bed, and kissed again. Joy put her arms around my neck, and I placed my hands on her tiny waist. She pulled me down on top of her, and we carried on kissing.

Her hands were running all over my back, and once or twice, she grabbed my ass. I, on the other hand, being a shy moron, only let my hands run up and down her arms and her thighs when she lifted her legs around my waist.

“Mmm, that feels so good,” Joy said, as I kissed her neck.

We kissed like this for about an hour, until Joy said we should stop, or she would want more.

We lay next to each other, facing one another. I reached over and gently brushed some hair from Joy’s face.

“You know, I really do love you,” I said, my voice filled with emotion.

“Oh, I know, and I am really falling in love with you,” Joy said, her voice barely above a whisper.

This was music to my ears.

I pulled her to me, and she lay her head on my chest, placing a hand on it too. I kissed the top of her head and said goodnight, and we drifted off to sleep.

I can safely say, at that point, I was the happiest man on Earth.
